About CyberTouch

Engineered touch, since 1982.

A design, engineering and manufacturing company in Newbury Park, California.

Touch has moved far beyond the phone in your pocket. Today it is built into museum exhibits, operating rooms, command centers and factory floors, and every one of those places asks for something different. CyberTouch exists to build touch for exactly those places.

CyberTouch works with infrared, projected capacitive and resistive touch technologies to design, engineer and fabricate advanced multitouch solutions: touch walls, touch tables and interactive surfaces, each designed and built to order.

CyberTouch got its start in medical devices and resistive touchscreen components, earning patents for its medical device designs. Over the decades, we engineered touch for aircraft simulators and military command and control centers, where it has to work every time. Today we bring that same experience to the places people visit: museums, flagship stores, brand experiences and corporate campuses.

We have manufactured in the United States since 1982, and we partner with the most discerning architects, designers and integrators across audio visual, museums and theme parks, corporate, exhibition, lighting and staging, broadcast, higher education, medical and government.

Our clients include NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, the U.S. Air Force, Microsoft, Google, YouTube, Intel, Tesla, Ford, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Coca-Cola, Disney, CNN, the Smithsonian Institution and Eli Lilly, along with other Fortune 100 companies.

Has CyberTouch worked on military and aviation projects?

Yes. CyberTouch has engineered touch for aircraft simulators and military command and control centers, where touch has to work every time. Today it brings that same engineering to museums, flagship retail, brand experiences and corporate campuses.

Where is CyberTouch located?

Is CyberTouch the same company as Transparent Devices?

Yes. Transparent Devices, Inc. owns the CYBERTOUCH trademark for computer touch screens and touch monitors.

What touch technologies does CyberTouch use?

Infrared (IR), projected capacitive (PCap) and resistive. PCap from 1″ to 90″ diagonal; IR from 32″ to 40 feet, with larger sizes built on request.

What is the difference between infrared and projected capacitive touch?

Infrared touch uses a grid of invisible light beams around the screen's edge and detects where a finger breaks them. It scales to very large sizes, 40 feet and beyond, and works with any object. Projected capacitive senses a finger through the glass, feels like a phone, seals well, and suits sizes from 1″ to 90″.

How many people can use a CyberTouch screen at once?

Up to 100 simultaneous touch points.

Does CyberTouch sell off-the-shelf products?

No. Every CyberTouch system is designed and built to order for its project, from the touch technology and size to the enclosure, finishes and mounting, working with the client's architects, designers and integrators.

What makes CyberTouch different from other touch table and touch wall makers?

CyberTouch designs, engineers and manufactures under one roof in Newbury Park, California, and has done so since 1982. It works across three touch technologies (infrared, projected capacitive and resistive) and a size range from 1 inch to 40 feet (with larger builds on request), builds custom sizes, finishes and multi-screen arrays to order, and partners with architects, designers and integrators.

Does CyberTouch build custom touch tables and enclosures?
