How to add touch to an existing video wall

You do not need to replace a working video wall to make it interactive. A touch overlay can do it.

Many lobbies, briefing centers and control rooms already have a large LCD or LED video wall. Turning it into an interactive surface usually does not mean starting over. A touch overlay mounts on the front of the existing display and adds multitouch to it.

What a touch overlay is

A CyberTouch touch overlay is a frame fitted to the size of your display. Most large overlays use infrared: emitters and receivers around the frame create a grid of invisible beams, and the frame reports where a finger breaks them. Overlays are also available with projected capacitive touch.

What it works with

CyberTouch overlays turn existing LCD and LED monitors, video walls and MicroTiles into multi-user touch surfaces. Frames are built to fit each display, from 22 inches to 40 feet diagonal and beyond.

What to have ready

  • The exact outer dimensions of the display or video wall, including any bezels.
  • How it is mounted: on a wall, in a recess, or on a stand.
  • How many people will use it at once. CyberTouch overlays support up to 100 simultaneous touch points.
  • The computer and software that will run the interactive content.

Send us those details and we will build an overlay to fit your wall.
